AION 2 Elyos and Asmodians
| Faction | KR name | Area | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elyos | 천족 | Elysea / Verteron | Playable sky-born faction. The teaser hides their command center in Cantas Valley and still frames them against Asmodians in the Abyss. |
| Asmodians | 마족 | Asmodae / Altgard | Playable opposing faction. Safe Haven is the named human settlement that survived the Dredgion crash in northern Altgard. |
| Balaur | Not supplied in global teaser | Not supplied in global teaser | Draconic antagonist force opposing both playable factions after the Tower fell. Not a create-a-character option on the global teaser. |
| Dragon Lords | Ishtar and Fafnir | Not supplied in global teaser | Teaser: Ishtar and Fafnir burn Poeta and Ishalgen. Fafnir creates Fafnites from converted Daevas at the fallen Sanctum Outpost. |
| Abyss | Not supplied in global teaser | Elyos / Asmodians | Steam about copy puts Elyos and Asmodians in the Abyss. Chaotic Abyss is the Korea/Taiwan live West versus East mode, not a Steam UI label until app 3393110 prints it. |
Elyos in Verteron, Asmodians in Altgard
Elyos home ground in the teaser is Elysea / Verteron. The hidden stronghold is Dawn Legion Base in Cantas Valley, a former Odylium supply hub now used as a gathering ground. Ellun River Marsh holds high ground on the lower Ellun River where a Barrier Tower once stood. Aullaeu Village sits on the Tolbas Forest edge. Altamia Canyon, once Zumion Temple, flooded after Meslamtaeda and is watched by the Notos Legion. Those five names are the Elyos starter set.
Asmodian home ground is Asmodae / Altgard. Safe Haven in the north is a human settlement once used by fugitives and spared after the Dredgion fell. The crash site itself is a sealed Fafnir Legion wreck with Drakana-corrupted soil. Sanctum Outpost occupies fallen Zikel's Sanctum and converts Daevas into Fafnites. Moslan Forest, a former Elim and Nornir sanctuary, was burned by High Priest Hystan. Nornir Assembly is the refugee camp led by Urd of the Three Sisters of Fate.

Abyss war, separate KR servers, Dragon Lords
Steam about copy puts Elyos and Asmodians in the Abyss. Korea live also shipped Chaotic Abyss as West versus East PvP. Those are version-tagged facts: the global store talks about a two-faction Abyss, while the November 2025 PURPLE launch added a named Chaotic Abyss mode. Do not treat Chaotic Abyss as a Steam UI label until the global client prints it. The still on this route is an official faction-war screenshot, not a named boss plate.
Ishtar and Fafnir are the named Dragon Lords on the teaser. They burn Poeta and Ishalgen, the old original-AION starter islands, and Fafnir's legion staffs the Dredgion wreck and the Sanctum Outpost. Balaur remain the broader draconic force. Faction choice on 5 October still looks like Elyos versus Asmodians with Balaur as the third pressure, not a three-team character creator.
KR separate servers versus global copy
Korea's reveal used separate Elyos and Asmodian servers to rebalance the two playable sides. That is a November 2025 PURPLE fact. The Steam FAQ lists North America, South America, Europe, and Japan as global server regions and does not repeat a forced faction-server split. Until app 3393110 prints separate Elyos and Asmodian shards in those four regions, treat the KR split as history, not as your Steam login screen.
You still pick a side at character create. Elyos Korean name is 천족. Asmodian Korean name is 마족. Both use the same eight teaser classes. The Abyss is where they clash on Steam; Chaotic Abyss is the extra West versus East mode on the KR live client. If you already have a PURPLE character, that bag does not move to Steam on 5 October according to the FAQ. Create a new Daeva on 3393110.
Korean names and the burned islands
Elyos Korean name is 천족. Asmodian Korean name is 마족. Dragon Lords named on the teaser are Ishtar and Fafnir. They burn Poeta and Ishalgen, the old original-AION starter islands. Starter ground is Verteron for Elyos and Altgard for Asmodians. Dawn Legion Base hides in Cantas Valley. Safe Haven sits in northern Altgard. The Abyss is where the two clash on Steam. Chaotic Abyss is West versus East on the KR live client. Until app 3393110 prints separate Elyos and Asmodian shards in NA, SA, EU, and Japan, treat the KR split as history.
